He earned his medical degree from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut and completed his urology specialist training at Henry Mondor University Hospital in Paris. He further honed his skills through fellowships in minimally invasive and robotic surgery at Saint Augustin Clinic in Bordeaux and the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford — both of which are the highest-volume centres for robotic surgery in their respective countries, specialising in the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer.
Since his appointment as a consultant urological surgeon in February 2022, Mr. Abou-Chedid has been recognised for his specialised techniques, notably in retzius-sparing prostatectomy, and is one of the highest volume surgeons in the UK.
His practice is characterised by the use of advanced surgical methods to achieve the best patient outcomes and restore quality of life post-operatively.
His commitment to innovation is evident in his work on day-case robotic prostatectomy and self-removal of catheters post-prostatectomy. These significant advancements demonstrate his dedication to pushing the frontiers of urological surgery and improving patient recovery.
